Sniff & Search continues for Jeddah, a 4 year old tan hound who was suppose to fly out of Washington Dulles International Airport with her parents the Weisner on a United Airlines flight. Prior to departure she went missing from her airline-issued kennel.
According to FayObeserver, the couple stated that Jeddah was housed in a traveling crate when Ronia drove John to Dulles airport. When they arrived, United officials told the Weisners that Jeddah’s kennel did not meet airline standards. She was placed in an airline-issued container.
Somewhere, somehow, between then and just before the flight was to leave, Jeddah got out of the airline’s kennel. After informing John Weisner, airline officials began searching. But Dulles is a 12,000-acre airport, about the size of Bald Head Island, and Jeddah had vanished.
The airline says Jeddah escaped. The Weisners say later inspections showed that the container had been damaged, not opened by the dog.
“We don’t know at this point how she got out,” United Airlines spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said. “It’s unfortunate, and it’s very rare. We are absolutely doing everything we can to help with the search.”
This has been a a long 2 weeks in a desperate search to be reunited before he is stationed in Saudi Arabia. You see Jeddah is not just a dog to she is part of the Weisner family and their little girl. Jeddah is trained as a rescue dog and has lived with the couple since she was a puppy. John Weisner bought her overseas and raised her at the family’s home in the Stoney Point area.
Since time is of the essence this makes finding Jeddah very important. ReuniteingJohn with Jeddah will allow him to focus on serving our country instead of worrying about his dogs where abouts and well being alone in the world. Please pray for Jeddahs safety and and that her survival instinct will kick in. Dogs can be very resourceful.
